The Rainbow Bridge

 Please understand that this page is particularly hard to write, your patience as we find it in our hearts to write about our beloved pets is appreciated.

Just this side of heaven is a place called.................Rainbow Bridge

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

 All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour; those who were hurt or maimed are
made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

 The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them,
who had to be left behind.

 They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.  His
bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers.  Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

 You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.  The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your

 Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together……….

"I miss the wagging little tail;
I miss the plaintive, pleading wail;
I miss the wistful, loving glance;
I miss the circling welcome-dance."
- Henry Willett, "In Memoriam"

Once in a lifetime

 How does one put into words... Monty? How many times can one person type and backspace before finding the right words to describe something so perfect?

Monty graced our lives with so much happiness, taught us how to love dogs, taught us how to love Border Collies, the pawprint he has left on our hearts will never be erased. Within his 11 years, Monty left such an impact on the breed, that very very few will ever be able to rival. He gave life to many generations, is the foundation of countless Kennels, and presented a type of dog that many can only wish to match.

However, that really means nothing - Monty was our pet, our family dog. I will forever remember the day i first met him and smile, his adorable face and boundless amounts of energy. we were all so besotted by him, that we made him run and run and run all day, fighting over who got the next cuddle and who was going to feed him.

Cancer took our boy from us far too early, though we cannot be sad, for we were given the time and opportunity to love him. I cannot imagine a world where Monty did not exist. I dont ever want to imagine it either!

If there was a way we could bring back Monty, we would. But for now, we have to remember him through pictures and videos, stories and jokes, through smiles and tears, ups and downs. Forever in our hearts, our minds, our memories, we will love him.
Rest in peace our beautiful boy
